Understanding the Difference

A Shiny Terrazzo Floor and a Properly Polished Terrazzo Floor Aren't the Same Thing.

Terrazzo does not need to be covered in wax to look beautiful. Proper restoration works with the terrazzo itself — removing years of wear, old coatings and surface imperfections before progressively polishing the floor to bring back its natural color, aggregate, character and reflectivity.

Natural Reflectivity

The shine comes from the properly restored and polished terrazzo itself.

Reveal the Original Floor

Grinding can uncover aggregate, color and character hidden beneath years of wear or old coatings.

Restore Instead of Cover

In many Pinellas County homes, the better floor may already be underneath what is there now.

See What Proper Restoration Can Do.

Years of wear, old coatings, stains and previous flooring can hide what original terrazzo is capable of becoming.

Restore What's Already There

Your Floor May Be Better Than You Think.

Common Questions

Terrazzo Restoration Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Every floor is different, but these are some of the questions we hear most often from Pinellas County homeowners.

  • Do you actually do the work yourself?

Unfortunately, yes. But I am working on my escape. Hence this page and my attempts to promote the business.

  • How much does terrazzo floor restoration cost?

There is no meaningful one-size-fits-all price for restoration work. Cost depends on the size of the floor, its current condition, old coatings or adhesives, cracks or repairs, access, and the finish you want.

Price can range from $1000 to $100,000. Large terrazzo restoration projects can vary substantially in scope, so the first step is to send us a few photos and some basic information about the floor. From there, we can determine whether an onsite evaluation makes sense.

  • Do you service residential or commercial clients?

This page is primarily designed for homeowners throughout Pinellas County ONLY who want an original terrazzo floor properly restored rather than simply covered or coated.

  • How long does terrazzo restoration take?

It depends on the size and condition of the floor and the amount of preparation or repair required.

A floor that mainly needs grinding and polishing is very different from one with old coatings, adhesive, cracks or previous repair work.

After evaluating the floor, we can give you a realistic expectation for the project schedule rather than guessing before we see it.

  • What's your warranty or guarantee?

We guarantee that the agreed-upon work will be performed properly and with the level of care discussed before the project begins.

Because every existing floor has a different history, condition and previous work, we do not make exaggerated promises about outcomes we cannot control.

The goal is simple: clearly explain what can realistically be done and then do that work correctly.
